Haul.

Jealous? Look at all this crap I got at the Depot. So glorious. Plus, the beautiful and amazing Khris Brown was there with me and I could hear her joyful chortling one row over.
This copy of Ferdinand? Not great on the outside, but perfect on the inside. Overall, fantastic for a library book. That was printed in 1946. Yeah. Fifty cents, I paid for it. Now you're jealous. I love this story because it's all about knowing who you are and believing in yourself. You know, like The Matrix.

  1. Wow, what a great find...I love Ferdinand, both hearing it read as a child and reading it to my kids. I have always loved those illustrations, they are just fabulous and I feel like I see something new in them with each read!

  3. I am jealous - we watched a silly football movie with Sandra Bullock last week and one of the highlights was the reference to this book. I haven't read it in ages and ages I am off to see if my library has a copy - they must.

Glad to have stumbled upon your blog (thanks to Kristal at Rik Rak)
