Okay, I'm done....

Well, wasn't that just a week of self-indulgent crap? I'm a bit of a tempest in a teacup, but that was overly-dramatic, even for me. I apologize, my dear patient reader....

Do you ever?

Do you ever worry that you're woefully inadequate at everything? You probably don't. Do you ever worry that I'M woefully inadequate at everything?

October rocks!

That's why they call it "Rocktober." Actually, I don't know who "they" are, or whether they would say anything so silly. But I do know this: it's a perfect day outside and there's apple pie in my very near future.

Hello, old friend....

Running errands on this wet wet day, Fin and his Mama stopped for Second Breakfast and pondered the fact that autumn has, so far, been chilly and uncertain and dusted with bitter disappointment, but today it is cozy and smells like good things to eat. Who knew that a Pumpkin Spice Latte could provide such a profound adjustment of attitude?

Just sayin'....

I should get a Nobel Peace Prize for the work I've done this week. Not that others don't deserve one - they probably do. But, I feel that the Committee may have overlooked my not insubstantial contribution.
Just sayin'....

Do you want to see what I bought?

Of course you don't, but I will show you anyway....

Three vintage Star Wars posters, naturally.

An adorable enamelware pail that probably even holds water! For $10!

And these gorgeous linens. They're practically edible.

Have you noticed how picture-tastic it's been here lately? I think I might have writer's block. Or, maybe I have nothing left to say. Or, seasonal-affective disorder. Maybe I'm nothing without the mushrooms. Maybe it's the altitude. Or, H1N1. And *poof* look at that - back to my usual wordy self again. Verbose on writer's block. And thank goodness, for I wouldn't want to disappoint my fan.
In other news, I now have magenta hair and there are turnips for dinner. Coincidence? I don't think so.

the Alameda Antique Fair....

The Alameda Antique Fair was sublime. I think I have died and gone to Heaven. And, somewhere along the way, developed a slightly worrisome obsession with scary dollies. Or, parts of scary dollies. Which? Is more scary and more worrisome.
