No New Work today.

Because I'm cleaning the workroom and possibly building new furniture from IKEA! I know - usually I wait until I'm supposed to be doing my taxes to clean up, but this morning I got the wild idea that maybe we all have allergies because of the dust behind my file cabinet.
It makes no sense, but now I'm on a path and it may take some time to get to the end of it. Or I might see something shiny and leave it half done. You never know.

Around here....

Do you ever spend your whole entire day cleaning and find your house is still a wreck? Me niether. Because my house is in a constant state of order and tranquility. In fact, you can come over right now and take a picture for the cover of Impossibly Beautiful Homes of Imaginary People Magazine.

Around here....

Around here, we went to an actual farm to get some pumpkins. There was an attempt to grow our own, but the snails had a feast one night and left no evidence that I had ever planted pumpkins and I put a curse on them and their descendants for twenty generations.
And? Fin figured out how to work the camera. It's a bit like living with paparazzi.

Friday, I'm in love....

How lovely, right? And then you're like: she's makes what? Site-specific clothing? What is that? And then you go here and it keeps getting lovelier!

Etsy love.

Anne from My Giant Strawberry sweetly put my Tomatoes in a Treasury with these amazing things.... And then I wrote a sentence with three links in it. KAPOW!

On the Farm....

On the Farm, I'm ordering garlic.
From a seed catalog.
That I got in the Mail.
(It's made of paper.)
My sister, Liza would say: You're bragging right now.

Around here....

Fall is falling (watch out). The kids want help with their homework and Halloween decor and some of us refuse to stop sitting on the porch with a glass of wine, on Sunday evenings, after the sun goes down, no matter how chilly it is.

Hello, Earnest!

One great bag - six different ways (so far).
Just the right size, with two sleek pockets inside. The riveted hemp webbing straps will not let you down.
Each one of these sustainable beauties is made of eco-friendly materials, like vintage cottons and linens, hemp, and organic cotton.
Many are limited editions, some are one-of-a-kind. Every Earnest Tote is carefully handmade by me.
They're in the shop now! Go look! And enjoy Free Domestic Shipping on everything this week (through Saturday) with the coupon code SHIPIT1013.

In the suburbs.*

The "lawn" really needs to come out, but there's significant debate about what should be there instead. My handsome husband would like this artificial turf! It's always green! Or red, or orange, or teal, depending on which end zone you happen to live in.
I would prefer something like this.....
Or maybe this? I'm not choosy.
* It really is the suburbs. Not a farm.

Around here....

Around here, I cannot get the words La-dee-da-da-dee Republican-party out of my head.

Friday, I'm in love....

I have a massive art crush on Alice Saunders of Forestbound. Her work is beyond beautiful and she seems so cool and smart. I just admire the heck out of her.
