When I am unable to answer his myriad daily questions, he wants me to "Google it."
He does not want to hold my hand. Except when he does.
He can make his own breakfast.
He can tie his own shoes.
He is all knees and elbows.
He does not enjoy surprises.
When I look at him, I can still see my miracle first baby.
This makes me want to cry a little bit. I can always still see the baby in my kids too.
ReplyDeleteThis one brought tears to my eyes! My son just turned eight and I can sooo relate. He still lets me kiss him when I send him off to school but only on top of his head. He wants to ride his bicycle ahead of me yet I still watch him turn around from time to time to make sure I'm still close. Oh I could go on...YET, last night he asked me if I would sing him a lullaby while he drifted off to sleep. I haven't done that in quite a while and I obliged wholeheartedly. I did it again tonight as well. ;)
