New bag, not in the shop.
Yet. I made this one for a friend, but I like it so much I may have to make a few for myself and the shop.

Around here....
The weather has been cool and variable. Everything else too. In a good way. Uncertain - but hopeful.
Yesterday, my dad made me a glass of fresh-squeezed orange juice. It was delicious and a very nurturing gesture. Maybe I'll make you one today.

This is what passes for travel around here....
A Berkeley adventure! Wow, that must be almost 30 miles from home! Still it was a treat and a blessing. Breakfast at Bette's Oceanview Diner - pumpkin pancakes with bacon-sweet-potato sausage (you heard me) and a blood-orange mimosa? Yes, please. Toy store, book store, Urban Ore? Yes, yes and yes. Sticking with love? Yes.

(Amsterdam)
1. Find passport.
2. Is it expired? No. Do a little dance of joy and benevolent versions of a perfect storms. Make it a quiet dance because we're still being quiet about (Amsterdam).

Around here....
My horoscope for 2013 says: a benevolent version of a perfect storm is headed your way.
Really? Well now it's true because I'm looking for it. And my standards are pretty low. If my kids don't wake me up with a fight and I can zip my jeans, I think that's a perfect storm of euphoria and soap bubbles.
That should be everybody's horoscope All The Time. Can you imagine what a beautiful world it would be if everyone was walking around looking for a benevolent version of a perfect storm? Lovely. Lovelylovely.

Friday, I'm in - meh, I don't know.
Could be worse, right? I'm finding it hard to care about Emerald. And I would count myself in the small group of people who would normally care about what Pantone's color of the year is.
What's Your color of the year? I would rather care about that!

Bargain! And? Another Bargain!
No suspense, I'll just tell you!
Now you can get three Twenty-Dollar Shoppers for just forty-five dollars. Which makes them Fifteen-Dollar Shoppers I suppose.
But, wait - there's more. Right now, you can enter the coupon code Lucky13 and save another 13%. Which? makes them Thirteen-Dollar-and-Five-Cent Shoppers.
It's all in the shop. You'll figure it out.

(Amsterdam)
Don't tell anyone, but I'm thinking about getting my ass off the couch and going to Amsterdam.

Around here....
Around here, it's not so easy to get back into our usual schedule. This morning my alarm woke me out of full REM sleep and a dream about Santa Claus.
All of the appliances are failing - no hot water, the Wii remotes are shot, the garage door won't go up - until it won't go down. Heater won't go on. Heater won't go off. As soon as we fix one thing, something else goes. First world problems, I know. The dryer almost burnt the house down. On the upside, I now have a thermostat that I can control with my phone! No kidding. I'm not sure I see the point, but somebody is really excited about it. Of course, that same somebody decided to update my system, so now the phone is all jacked up.
At least the alarm went off, right?

Friday, I'm in love....
Could this be any more beautiful and inspiring? No.
Go check out Folk Fibers. But, take a breath now, before you click, because you'll hyperventilate when you get there. Trust me. via Forestbound.

Guess who's in prototype heaven!
It's me! It's not going that well, but there's a certain amount of Bliss involved in that aspect of it too, so. In the letting-go of the unworkable and the less good ideas. Going through. Process. You know what I mean.

Good morning, twenty-thirteen!
Lovely, so far. But the kids aren't up yet, so....
Photo by Colin Delehanty - if you see a heart-stoppingly gorgeous photo here? Especially if it looks like someone had to tromp up a giant snowy hill to get it? It's Colin's.
