Pretty, pretty, pretty, and off to the Herban Garden in Fairfax, CA - which is beautiful to the max. It's one of my favorite shops and the fact that they carry my things? Makes me blissful beyond words.

Around here....

Mm-mm Spring. It's warm and poppy-ful around here and I have finally become used to running in the pitch black of 6:20 in the morning - so.... I'm off to Amsterdam at the end of the week where it is definitively still winter. 39 degrees.
We have been flying kites and visiting the pet ER this weekend. Rue got stuck in a wire fence and was found dangling by a foot. I know - any farmer worth her salt would have dispatched Rue and fried her, but. She was such a sad little heap of feathers and I'm a really bad farmer.
She's fine now - and by far, the most expensive hen we have.

I took my kids to the opera - a dress rehearsal of La Traviata. Which? I don't know - I don't even love opera so I'm not sure why that seemed like a good idea - except, you know, where the hell do I ever go, right? I had sort of an: I'd pay a dollar to see that moment. About 20 minutes in, Fin was crying and pointing at the exit. Later he told me that it made him forget all the songs he likes.
